Players, this is your invitation! for the 2019-20 Storm Gala on March 7 from 6:30-9 PM at Cavallotti Hall
March 7 will be our third annual Storm Gala, a fun evening to celebrate our 2019-20 season with dinner, prizes and recognition of our graduating players!
All players are expected to attend, and parents who want to join in may purchase tickets (limited numbers available through your team manager) for $30.
Putting on really big event like this requires lots of support from our Storm families – our Steering Committee volunteers can’t do it all! – so we are asking for folks to step up in two areas:
1) We need helpers – parent helpers please (not the team manager!), to assist with tasks: one parent for setup at 10 AM before the Gala or on the big day (except girls teams who are playing on the 7th) and two parents for cleanup at 9 PM (all teams!). Please discuss this at your matches/practices this week, and contact Jen Nixon with the names of volunteers from your team by Feb 27
2) We need sponsors/donations – your player’s Storm VIPL fees included the cost of their ticket for the event, but this amount is not enough to fully fund the Gala.
So we are asking parents who have, or are associated with a business for sponsorship. There are two sponsorship categories: A) Gala Sponsors ($50-100) will be acknowledged on a noticeboard at the event and in the event write up on the Storm website or B) Scholarship sponsors ($250 or $500) will be acknowledged on the event noticeboard, in the scholarship presentation, in the online event write-up and on the scholarship page of the Storm website.
Donations/swag- we love fun swag for our door prizes, if you have items you can donate from your business, or just want to donate gift cards, sports items, etc.
